Get to know Metonic investment analyst David Kugler. David works closely with the investment team on key initiatives, including underwriting acquisitions and new developments, market research, and due diligence. David brings valuable experience from his previous roles at Arc Equity Group and JDL Development, where he specialized in acquisitions and asset management.
Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of the job is the high intensity, quick turnarounds and every day is different. I like how I get to work on both the acquisitions and development side.
Q: What are you most looking forward to at Metonic over the next few months?
To close a deal! I am excited to visit properties throughout different markets in the Midwest. A reason why I love working in real estate is the tangibility aspect of the industry and touring these properties we are interested in buying will be a great experience.
Q: What is something you’re passionate about outside of work?
I love to ski, watch sports (sadly Chicago sports are not good) and spend time with my friends and family.

Cats or Dogs?
Dogs! I grew up with multiple Bernese Mountain dogs and now an Australian Labradoodle named Ziggy.
Beach or Mountains?
Although I do enjoy the beach, if I had to pick one, mountains are my winner! Between skiing and hiking the mountains are hard to beat. I went to college in Denver for 4 years and I definitely miss looking into my backyard and seeing mountains in the distance.
