Meet Ari
Get to know Ari Perlmutter, Director of Investments at Metonic. Ari leads the charge in uncovering and acquiring strategically positioned multifamily assets across promising Midwest markets. With a sharp eye for opportunity and a passion for smart investing, he is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing all new investment opportunities. Before bringing his talents to Metonic, Ari began his career in project finance at MUFG and honed his skills as an investment associate at Agman. With a degree in applied economics and management and a minor in real estate from Cornell, Ari brings experience and expertise to the investment team.

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
A: I enjoy exploring new markets; there’s something exciting about spotting local trends and characteristics unique to cities across the US. It’s especially rewarding to see how Metonic’s properties integrate into and enhance the local community.
Q: How do you identify markets and submarkets with strong acquisition potential?
A: I always begin with a deep dive into the evolving fundamentals of the local economy and population trends. From there, I analyze property-specific metrics to uncover opportunities that align with our acquisition strategy.
Q: What is something you’re passionate about outside of work?
A: Outside of work, I’m passionate about staying active and spending time outdoors. Whether it’s basketball, golfing, hiking, or anything competitive, I enjoy being busy and pushing myself.
