For our next “Meet Metonic” team spotlight, we are proud to introduce you to Rachel Birge, Metonic’s VP Investor Relations. A results-oriented efficiency expert, Rachel oversees Metonic’s Investor Relations, data management, internal and external communications and process optimization practices.

Q: When did you start at Metonic and how long have you been with the company?

A: I started with Metonic in March 2018 to help expand the company’s investor relations platform through streamlining processes, strengthening communications, centralizing data systems and enhancing deliverables.  While we’ve seen some material improvements to date, these initiatives will continue to evolve throughout the coming months.  Currently, my team is preparing to launch our new asset management and investor reporting database next week to our staff members.  The database includes an investor portal which will be rolled out to our investor partners in the near future.

Q: What is the best part about working in the real estate industry (specifically Metonic)?

A: Hands down, the best parts are the people and the culture we have helped build at Metonic.  Our team is a unique blend of experts in real estate and other parallel industries that embrace collaboration and innovation.  In my role, I have the opportunity to work with and learn from everyone in the firm and am incredibly fortunate to have met so many remarkable and talented individuals since starting with Metonic.

Q: What is something you’re passionate about outside of work?

A: When I’m not in the office, I love spending time outdoors.  Whether it’s taking our two dogs for a walk, working in the garden, paddle boarding on the lake or reading a good book on the deck, nothing beats a fresh breeze and mother nature.

THIS OR THAT

Dogs or cats?

  • Dogs (but don’t tell my cat!)

Daytime or nighttime?

  • Nighttime, especially this time of year.

Ocean or desert?

  • While I thoroughly enjoy visiting my brother in Phoenix and hiking Camelback, to me it just doesn’t quite compare to being beachside on the ocean.

Phone call or email?

  • It depends on the message.  I’m all about efficiency via email when it makes sense, but there are plenty of occasions where phone calls provide quicker results and add a personal touch.
