This month’s “Meet Metonic/APOGEE” spotlight is Paul McCandless, Metonic’s Tax Manager. Paul is responsible for researching tax strategies, performing tax return duties and managing Metonic’s relationship with outside CPA firms.

Q: When did you start at Metonic/APOGEE and how long have you been with the company?

A: Tough question – I started with Seldin Company in December 1985 and came over to Metonic in 2016; so, by my math, it is between 4 and 34 years.

Q: What is your favorite thing about working at Metonic/APOGEE?

A: As trite and cliched as this might sound, it is being around such a young, energetic and eclectic group of ‘go-getting’ professionals. It is truly a pleasure witnessing how this diversified Metonic family can accomplish so much working together toward unifying goals..

Q: What is something that you’re passionate about outside of work?

A: Has to be Church and family. Other things come and go in time but those do not!
